Agreement

By using FocalDot — the macOS app or this website — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

What you get

An auto-renewing subscription unlocks unlimited tasks across every Mac you own, the web dashboard, productivity insights, and all future updates within your subscription term.

Subscription, billing, and cancellation

• Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Pricing displayed on this site is in USD; your local price is shown by the App Store at checkout.
• Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Cancel any time from System Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Refunds are governed by Apple's App Store policies. Request refunds via reportaproblem.apple.com.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, redistribute, or attempt to bypass the subscription gating.
• Use the service to store illegal content.
• Attempt to access other users' data, including attempting to circumvent row-level security.
• Use the service to send spam or harass others.

Account termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@focaldot.app. Closure does not entitle you to a prorated refund for the current billing period.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime but make no guarantees. Scheduled maintenance and unscheduled outages can happen. The macOS app continues to work for local task management while sync is unavailable.

Intellectual property

FocalDot, its name, design, and codebase belong to us. Your tasks belong to you — you retain all rights to the content you create.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we're incorporated. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
